A bit of history......
TABS grew as an idea from our founder and Chair Rachel Sanders. Having witnessed 2 of her children grow and blossom from the experience of a volunteering GAP year to India and Africa, the idea was sown that someone should be offering this amazing opportunity to those who would never normally have the chance. People who have been disadvantaged due to poverty, social exclusion and homelessness to name but a few; people who quite often have the most to offer and gain from such an experience.
Through her church Rachel herself had travelled to Kenya twice on volunteering trips and had started to build links and relationships with local community leaders there. And so on..... TABS was born when we took our first group of volunteers to Nairobi in Kenya and helped to build a school building for ......... Since then we've not looked back.
