Monitoring Trip
In February 2025, Tabs Chair, Ellen, Tabs trustee, Claire and Friend of TABS, Sian visited the school for a monitoring trip.
They were joined by director of education, Thika west sub-county Maurice Sifuna to officially open the new junior secondary school classrooms. They were escorted by the scout team to open the building.
They met with the leaders of CCI Bethsaida. This is church not far from the school who deliver the Compassion International initiative in the area. They work with our project manager to identify and reach some of Kiandutu’s most vulnerable children and provide a long-term plan of support addressing all their needs. This is a wonderful partnership that has been running for 3 years.
They also met with Julia from Drilling for life to discuss beginning to drill for the water bore hole at the new secondary sight.
Lastly, TABS UK and TABS Kenya met for our annual joint trustee meeting, where we discussed many things and planned for the next 3-5year strategy.
It was an action packed week.
