Aims of TABS
TABS is a unique charity in that it has two distinct but connected objectives. Through our partners TABS Kenya we support a slum project in Thika where over the last 4 years we have built a school and provide funds for teachers, school resources and feeding the current 192 children in the school.
Working with the Homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged
We also work in the UK with people who have been homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged and offer those who are interested the opportunity to volunteer in the Thika project.
Reciprocal opportunities transforming lives
Our experience demonstrates that the reciprocal opportunities and relationships we develop are transforming for all who take part and this year’s trip was no exception. The young people who took part this year were exceptional in their commitment and hard work and have come back to the UK determined to continue transforming their lives. Their stories are inspirational and they continue to be involved with TABS as ambassadors. Thank you Nicola, Mikey and Louis.
